Answer the supplier survey with evidence you can show Answer each survey with the shop’s actual practice, attach the evidence requested and distinguish a documented process from an independent certification. The workbook gives draft patterns for a small non-AS9100 shop; every bracket and example must be replaced. A buyer’s requirement may still mean the shop does not qualify for that work. Describe quality controls without upgrading them For certification, a truthful draft is: We do not currently hold [requested certification]. Our documented controls cover [actual document control, inspection, nonconformance and traceability scope]; supporting procedures are [references]. Please confirm whether this meets the qualification route for this order. Do not write compliant with AS9100 simply because several procedures resemble its requirements. If the buyer requires a certificate, provide the actual scope and expiry or state that it is unavailable. A plan to seek certification is not an approved credential. Make capacity and insurance answers conditional on records For capacity: Our available work centers are [verified machine list/envelopes]. Current additional capacity was reviewed on [date] for [process and hours]; final delivery is confirmed against the quoted routing and material availability. A count of machines alone does not establish the hours available for a new contract. For insurance: The current certificate issued by [broker] shows [actual coverage and dates]; additional-insured or special limits require broker confirmation. Do not invent policy limits or send an expired certificate because the form requires an attachment. Route sensitive and contractual questions to their owners For controlled data: [responsible lead] reviews classification, authorization and transfer requirements before receipt; approved tools and access follow [procedure]. If the shop uses QuotedPart, ITAR parts go in the ITAR vault, but that feature does not answer every customer compliance question. Keep tax identifiers, banking details and personal information out of a general emailed worksheet unless the approved process calls for them. Assign an owner and review date to every answer that changes over time, and have the authorized person review liability, security and audit-right commitments before submission.
