This fictional 316 connector is $102.47 each at five pieces, $27.12 at fifty and $15.56 at five hundred. The estimate includes a through bore, one external-thread allowance, a groove and passivation. It does not establish a pressure-rated pipe connection or include mating hardware and seals.

A custom connector is not a catalog fitting price
The body is 1.5 inches long. Its first inch is one-inch diameter; the remaining half inch is 0.750-inch diameter with an example 3/4-16 external thread. A 0.375-inch bore runs through the entire part and one circumferential groove is counted. The general tolerance is ±0.005 inch. Our pricing engine selects 1.125-inch round stock with standard facing and cutoff allowances.
The dimension schedule is a reproducible cost example part, not a released sealing design. Thread class, runout, groove dimensions, edge conditions and the mating seal must be approved before manufacture. Renaming this example a hydraulic fitting would not establish its pressure capacity. A tapered pipe thread requires different geometry and gauging from this straight external-thread allowance.

Thread and cleanliness work should survive the quantity break
The standard turning route prices the steps, bore and groove. We add fifteen lot setup minutes and two minutes per piece at the $90/hour lathe center for threading and gauging. Bore flushing and edge review add ten setup minutes and 1.5 minutes per part at $55/hour. These entered allowances make the estimate more complete without pretending the thread cycle was derived from a fully specified thread drawing.
Eligible run time changes with the model's quantity adjustment, and the summary table shows the effective minutes. A validated every-piece cleaning or gauge check may not improve at that rate. Replace the generic adjustment with an appropriate operation standard when the customer's acceptance plan fixes the labor per piece.

Outside processing and purchases set the remaining boundary
Passivation uses a $95 lot minimum or the size-adjusted $2-per-piece catalog charge, whichever is greater, then a 5% fee. This explains why a five-piece order can carry a large finish cost per connector. The estimate applies 30% markup, a $65 minimum selling line and no automatic markup rules. Outside freight is additional.
316 stock uses illustrative $8.99/lb small-lot and $6.25/lb volume values with density 8.0 grams per cubic centimeter and a 0.28 relative machining input. These are not a current certified-bar offer. A production order needs its exact material specification, traceability requirement and usable bar length confirmed before release.
No pressure test, leak acceptance test, special oxygen-service cleaning, bagging, certificate package or seal kit is included. Add each required deliverable and its acceptance method rather than expecting a thread allowance to cover it. Compare a custom job with catalog hardware only after checking the functional specification, order quantity and available standard sizes; mass-produced fitting prices do not describe this small-run routing.
