Is QuotedPart a good alternative to MetronQ?

Your part priced in about 90 seconds, no account.

QuotedPart is a good MetronQ alternative when the shop needs visible setup, cycle, material and margin assumptions rather than an AI-first quoting workflow. MetronQ's public site positions it around AI manufacturing quoting and a digital RFQ process, but the page checked October 30, 2026 did not provide enough public detail to verify a complete price, trial, input matrix, process coverage or ERP handoff. MetronQ may win on automated intake; QuotedPart wins on a published $199-per-shop price and an estimator who can edit the arithmetic.

Verify the facts before comparing totals

Ask MetronQ to state which STEP, PDF, DXF and drawing-image formats it reads, which machining and fabrication processes it supports, whether a human reviews AI output, and what happens to customer files after a quote is sent. Ask for the current contract, trial and ERP/export terms in writing. A phrase such as “instant manufacturing quotes” does not establish any of those details.

Use one 6061 plate and one drawing-only turned part. Record the first answer, the corrections, the source of material and cycle assumptions, and the time from upload to customer PDF.

Where MetronQ could be stronger

MetronQ may be stronger if its AI reduces the time spent turning emailed RFQs into structured estimates and if its automation matches the shop's most common work. Ask it to show a drawing/model mismatch, a quantity break and an outside finish. If the customer sees an instant price, confirm the approval hold for tolerances, material availability and due date.

A vendor demo should also show the correction loop. The estimator must be able to fix a wrong feature or rate without losing the original quote.

Where QuotedPart is clearer

QuotedPart is clearer when the shop wants a known subscription and an editable cost model. The estimator can say $95/hour, 42 minutes setup, 12 minutes per part, $64 stock and $20 inspection, then change one assumption before sending the branded quote. It is weaker on AI automation and customer self-service, and it does not claim to infer every manufacturing decision from a file.

Pick MetronQ after its public claims are verified on your parts and contract. Pick QuotedPart when transparency and a short no-card trial are more valuable than unverified automation.

Sources and limits

Claims are dated where they can change. Product calculations are examples from the stated inputs, not a promise about a customer's quote. Competitor wording is attributed to the source shown.
