Is QuotedPart a good alternative to PartPilot?

Your part priced in about 90 seconds, no account.

QuotedPart is a reasonable PartPilot alternative when you need a published shop subscription and an estimator-controlled cost model. PartPilot's public site positions it as a digital quoting tool for manufactured parts, but the page checked October 30, 2026 does not provide enough public detail to verify a full price, trial length, file matrix or ERP list. That uncertainty belongs in the evaluation. PartPilot may win on its own intake experience; QuotedPart wins on visible assumptions, a 14-day no-card trial and $199 per shop per month.

Do not fill in missing facts

For PartPilot, ask the vendor to state exactly which files it reads, whether it prices machining, sheet metal or additive work, how material and finishing are represented, and whether an estimator can override the result. A product page that says “instant quoting” does not establish CAD formats, minimum charges or an ERP handoff. Record “not published” instead of turning a directory listing into a promise.

Run a 20-piece 6061 cover plate with a drawing tolerance, a tapped hole and black anodize. Capture the input file, the first answer, the correction path and the exported customer quote. The test is useful even if PartPilot's public documentation improves after you start.

Where PartPilot could win

PartPilot may be stronger if its intake matches the way customers send your shop work or if its workflow reduces estimator clicks on your most common part family. Ask for a live quote on your own files and for the vendor to explain any automated feature recognition. If it provides customer self-service or an integration your team needs, that can outweigh a less transparent public price.

Do not accept an answer that skips the revision and outside-process case. Those are the moments when a quote becomes a real shop decision.

Where QuotedPart is clearer

QuotedPart gives a small shop a known starting point: $199 per shop per month, unlimited users, 14 days without a card, editable rates and a branded quote. It is weaker if you want an anonymous customer portal or automatic DFM feedback. It is stronger when an estimator must say, “setup is $120, cycle is 14 minutes, material is $38, and this finish is outside processing.”

Pick PartPilot only after its current price, inputs and handoff are written down. Pick QuotedPart when the known boundary is more valuable than an unverified feature list.

Sources and limits

Claims are dated where they can change. Product calculations are examples from the stated inputs, not a promise about a customer's quote. Competitor wording is attributed to the source shown.
