Give a buyer enough facts to route the right RFQ
Price one of your own parts: Drop a STEP model or PDF drawing — about 90 seconds, no account.
Your part priced in about 90 seconds, no account.
A useful capabilities statement names the processes, machine envelopes, materials and inspection methods the shop can support today. The editable template gives those facts one page and leaves certifications, NAICS and CAGE fields blank for verified entries. A claimed tolerance belongs with the feature size, material and inspection conditions that make it credible.

Lead with the work that fits
Write a short process statement such as precision turned components and milled brackets in [materials], for [prototype or release quantities]. List only work the shop actually performs or clearly label an approved outside partner’s scope. A buyer needs to know whether a long shaft, thin-wall housing or formed enclosure fits the equipment and team. Include a technical contact and a commercial contact when those are different people. Avoid a broad list of every manufacturing process that makes the shop appear unable to distinguish its own strengths.
Make the machine and quality tables specific
For each relevant machine, include type, usable travel or turning envelope and a meaningful capability note, such as live tooling or bar-feeder diameter. Name materials the shop regularly handles rather than implying qualification for every alloy. Describe inspection equipment and report availability accurately. A tolerance example should name the feature, size range, material and verification method; it is not a universal guarantee on any drawing. Add capacity or lead-time wording only after checking the current schedule, and date the statement so buyers can ask for an update.
Verify identifiers and credentials before publication
Populate legal name, address, website and any business identifiers from the shop’s own records. Include certification number, scope, issuing body and expiration only when the certificate supports that exact statement. Leave unavailable entries blank or remove the row instead of writing pending as if it were an approval. If the buyer requires export-control or cybersecurity information, provide the reviewed current facts through the appropriate channel. Customer logos and example parts need permission. The template is a sales document layout, not a vendor qualification or government registration application.
