QuotedPart videos: CNC quoting, start to finish

Each video is one real-time screen recording of QuotedPart on quotedpart.com, with on-screen text instead of a voice. Every price and minute you see is what the app worked out on camera, in a demo shop at QuotedPart's U.S. default rates unless the video says otherwise. The full text of each video is under it.

All of them on YouTube: the playlist or the @quotedpart channel.

How to Quote a CNC Part from a STEP File: Priced in Under 20 Seconds (Real Time)

An RFQ with a STEP file and no drawing, quoted start to finish in QuotedPart. The model is measured in the browser: stock size, weight, setups, holes and pockets, then a routing with CAM, milling, deburr and inspection at the shop's own rates, and a price at every quantity.

  1. 0:04An RFQ came in with a STEP file and no drawing. Here is the whole quote, in real time.
  2. 0:10Drop the STEP file. QuotedPart measures the model right in the browser.
  3. 0:15Priced: stock size, weight, process and a price for every quantity.
  4. 0:20Each line is a real operation: stock, CAM programming, milling setups, deburr, inspection.
  5. 0:26Setup minutes and run minutes are on every line, at your work center's hourly rate.
  6. 0:31Open a line to see how its minutes are worked out. Every formula is yours to edit.
  7. 0:40The model carries no material, so 6061-T6 stands in. Confirm it, or pick another.
  8. 0:42Switch to 7075-T6 and the stock line and the total reprice at once.
  9. 0:49Type the RFQ's quantities. Each break is priced on its own.
  10. 0:53Setup and programming spread over the lot, so 25 and 100 pieces cost less each.
  11. 0:59Turn the model to check what was measured.
  12. 1:05Then send it: a PDF, a page the buyer can order from, or from your own email.

How to Quote a Machined Part from a PDF Drawing Only (No 3D Model) | Real Time

Plenty of RFQs come as a PDF and nothing else. Here QuotedPart reads a dimensioned drawing (views, notes, title block), prices the part from the print alone, lists what the drawing leaves open, and then measures the 3D model when it arrives.

  1. 0:04This RFQ came with a PDF drawing and no 3D model. Watch the quote happen in real time.
  2. 0:10Drop the PDF. AI reads the views, dimensions, notes and title block.
  3. 0:17A drawing read usually takes 20 to 60 seconds. The clock above is real.
  4. 0:23Priced from the drawing alone: 6061-T6, black anodize and the size, all read off the print.
  5. 0:29What it read: part number, revision, material spec, finish spec, tolerances, threads and notes.
  6. 0:40What a drawing can't settle is listed: the size is estimated from the views, flatness .001, the cert note.
  7. 0:47The routing: plate stock, CAM, milling setups for the pocket and tapped holes, deburr, anodize, inspection.
  8. 0:53Type the RFQ's quantities. Each one is priced.
  9. 0:58When the 3D model shows up, drop it on the quote. It joins the same line and is measured.
  10. 1:05Now the price uses the measured model. The drawing still supplies material, finish and tolerances.

How to Quote Swiss and Davenport Turned Parts (1,000 to 10,000 pcs) | Real Time

A 5/8 in sleeve bushing with a step, a groove, a bore and a cross hole, dropped as a STEP file. QuotedPart routes it to the Swiss lathe on its own, prices 12L14 bar with cut-off, then compares a CNC lathe and a Davenport multi-spindle at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 pieces.

Send a CNC Quote to JobBOSS² or JobBOSS: Estimates, Routing and Material

Quoted in QuotedPart, run in JobBOSS. JobBOSS² gets an estimate per part (quantity breaks, prices, routing and material) and a quote with every line through ECI's API; JobBOSS on your own server gets a SQL file that creates the same quote.

ITAR Quoting Software: Quote Export-Controlled Parts in an Encrypted Vault

QuotedPart's ITAR vault encrypts vault parts in the browser before upload: models, drawings, thumbnails, geometry, material, tolerances and notes. QuotedPart and its hosting only hold ciphertext; names, quantities and prices stay readable so quotes and orders work. Here an owner turns it on, quotes a part, locks and unlocks it.

  5. 0:32A recovery key, shown once (blurred here). Download it and keep it offline.
  6. 0:35Choose whether every new quote goes to the vault, or only the ITAR ones you pick.
  7. 0:41The vault is on and unlocked on this device. Session replay and automatic screenshots are off for vault parts.
  8. 0:52Drop a STEP file. It's measured and encrypted here in the browser, then uploaded.
  9. 0:59Priced like any other part, at the shop's rates, with every operation shown. It's a vault part.
  10. 1:05Routing, setups and minutes work as usual. Vault drawings can be read by Claude in your own AWS GovCloud account.
  11. 1:11Lock the vault and the server shows nothing it can read.
  12. 1:26Locked: the part's model, geometry and details stay encrypted until a teammate unlocks with the passphrase.
  13. 1:39Unlocked on this device, decrypted in the browser.
