MIE Trak Pro vs JobBOSS²

Your part priced in about 90 seconds, no account.

MIE Trak Pro and JobBOSS² both connect quoting to production, but their public product pages emphasize different buying questions. MIE describes personalized formulas, RFQ assignment, detailed quotes with operations/BOMs/tooling and a broad quote-to-accounting system. ECI describes JobBOSS² as a job-shop ERP with rate-based estimating, quantity breaks, capacity-aware lead times, scheduling, inventory, quality and QuickBooks integration. Neither publishes a simple list price. Compare the quote-to-job record and implementation plan on your own RFQ.

Same quote, two ERP proofs

Use a 10-piece 4140 shaft with a revision, outside heat treat, a customer due date and a partial release. In MIE, ask how a quote becomes a sales order, work order and estimate-versus-actual record. In JobBOSS², ask how pre-set burden and labor rates, setup/run time, outside services and capacity inform the quote and lead time. Then export the customer, part, routing and cost data from both systems.

The winner is not the screen with the most fields. It is the system where the estimator, planner and accounting team see the same revision and cost basis without retyping it.

Where MIE Trak Pro may win

MIE is stronger when the shop values personalized formulas, RFQ assignment and a broad production system that includes accounting, quality and reporting. Its current pages speak directly to quote-to-cash continuity and estimate-versus-actual thinking. Ask for a reference shop with your mix of one-offs, assemblies and outside services, and ask how the team maintains rate tables after go-live.

A custom MIE proposal must separate implementation, integrations, training and renewal. The absence of public price is not a verdict; it is a budgeting task.

Where JobBOSS² may win

JobBOSS² is stronger when ECI's established job-shop workflow, capacity-aware quoting and deployment options fit the operation. ECI says US shops can use multi-tenant SaaS, private hosted cloud or on-premise, and that implementation takes around three to six months. That is a substantial project, but the product's rate-based estimate-to-order path is explicit.

QuotedPart is a smaller third option if neither ERP needs replacing and the bottleneck is just quote arithmetic. Choose the ERP whose implementation and data boundary your team can own, then validate one revision all the way to shipment.
