QuotedPart is autonomous AI quoting software for CNC machine shops, sheet metal shops and job shops, including Swiss and Davenport screw-machine work. An RFQ email, STEP or IGES model and PDF drawing come in; it reads the request, measures the model, reads the drawing, suggests a routing on the shop's own work centers and prices every quantity break at the shop's own rates in under 20 seconds. An estimator checks it, then sends a quote page or PDF the buyer can accept with a PO. $399/month per shop; the first 20 shops pay $199/month and keep that price. 14-day free trial, no card.
What it is
- Product
- QuotedPart: autonomous AI quoting software for CNC machine shops, sheet metal shops and job shops. It is quoting software a shop uses on its own work; it is not a marketplace and does not make parts. (llms.txt)
- Work it quotes
- CNC milling, CNC turning including Swiss-type lathes, sheet metal and plate (laser, waterjet, press brake), material by weight or piece, finishes and outside services. A shop that runs Davenport (multi-spindle cam screw machine) work adds it in Settings, and production lots of small turned parts then route there. (llms.txt)
- Who it's for
- Small and mid-size US job shops that quote their own work and want a published price instead of an enterprise sales process. (llms.txt)
- How you start
- Self-serve: sign up and price a real part the same day, with no demo call, setup fee or contract. A sample quote runs in the browser from the home page without an account. (llms.txt)
What goes in
- RFQ email
- RFQs found in a connected Gmail or Outlook inbox (read-only) or forwarded to the shop's own QuotedPart address, a public RFQ page for the shop's website, or files dragged into the app. The email is read for the buyer, quantities, material, finish, certifications, dates and terms. (capabilities/email-rfq)
- 3D models
- STEP and IGES, measured in the browser: stock, setups, holes, pockets, turned features, sheet thickness and bends. DXF flat patterns give cut length, pierces and bend lines. (llms.txt)
- PDF drawings
- Read for part number, revision, material, finish, tolerances, threads and notes. A part can be priced from the PDF drawing alone, with its assumptions listed. (quote-from-a-drawing)
- Not read
- Other CAD formats need exporting to STEP. Image files (PNG, JPG) are not read. (llms.txt)
What it does, and how fast
- Speed
- Reads the RFQ, STEP file and drawing and prices every quantity at the shop's machine rates in under 20 seconds. (home page)
- Routing and price
- The AI reads the request and the files and drafts the routing; every quantity is then priced from the shop's own setup and run-time formulas, hourly rates, material prices and markup. Each operation shows the formula and part values behind its minutes, and every quantity break gets its own cost, margin and lead time. (llms.txt)
- Quote out
- Once an estimator has checked it, a quote page with the shop's logo where the buyer picks a quantity and accepts with a PO, or a PDF, or the shop's own Excel quote layout. Accepted quotes become orders. (llms.txt)
- Learning
- Learns shop-specific factors from repeated estimator edits and recorded actual setup and run hours. Learned factors belong to one shop and are never shared. (capabilities/learns-from-quotes)
Price
- Normal price
- $399 per month for the whole shop, billed monthly. Unlimited users and quotes, every feature and integration. (pricing)
- Founding price
- The first 20 shops pay $199 per month and keep that price while they stay subscribed. (pricing)
- Free trial
- 14 days, every feature, no credit card. Without a card afterwards, you keep quoting; sending a quote to a buyer asks for a card. (pricing)
- No extras
- No setup fee, no minimum term, no add-ons or feature tiers. The ITAR vault is included in every plan. (pricing)
Integrations
- JobBOSS²
- Send to JobBOSS² creates the estimates, routing and quote through ECI's API. (jobboss)
- JobBOSS (classic)
- Export for JobBOSS creates the quote with prices, routing and material in the on-premise system. (jobboss)
- Exports
- CSV and Excel export of quotes and won orders for E2, QuickBooks or any other system; quotes can also fill the shop's own Excel quote format. (llms.txt)
- API
- A public REST API (/api/v1) to create and read quotes from a server, with signed webhooks for new RFQs and accepted POs. (capabilities/api)
- MCP server
- https://quotedpart.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP with OAuth) for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other MCP clients: assistants price models and drawings at the shop's own rates and save draft quotes. (capabilities/mcp-server)
Security, AI and ITAR
- Hosting
- Quotes, parts, CAD models and drawings are stored by Convex on Amazon Web Services in the United States (AWS us-east-1). The website and app are served by Netlify. (security)
- AI provider
- Drawings and RFQ emails of normal parts are read with Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes them as a service provider and does not use them to train its models; QuotedPart doesn't train AI models on customer content either. (privacy)
- ITAR vault
- Optional, in every plan. Models, drawings and technical data of vault parts are encrypted with AES-256-GCM in the browser before upload, with a key only the shop's team holds, and are priced in the browser. QuotedPart's AI provider never receives vault parts. (itar)
- AI for vault parts
- If the shop connects its own AWS GovCloud (US) account, the browser sends vault drawings straight to Claude on Amazon Bedrock in AWS GovCloud (US-West). QuotedPart's servers never see those drawings, what Claude read, or the key. (itar)
- Certifications
- QuotedPart is not FedRAMP authorized or FedRAMP Moderate equivalent and has not been assessed under CMMC. It doesn't claim ITAR registration or CMMC certification; the shop decides whether the vault meets its contracts and obligations, such as DFARS 252.204-7012 and CMMC. (terms)
- Staff
- Helios One Oy is a Finnish company and its staff are not US persons. They never receive a vault's passphrase or recovery key, so they can't open vault parts. (terms)
