Lantek vs SigmaNEST for quoting: compare the connected workflow

For sheet-metal quoting, compare Lantek Integra Quotes with SigmaQUOTE in the SigmaTEK environment you would actually run. Lantek describes quoting linked to CAD/CAM, MES and ERP, with nesting simulation. SigmaQUOTE describes costing from inventory, remnants, process times and configurable plans. Both have a stronger production-linked material workflow than QuotedPart's non-nesting estimator. The practical choice is which system carries your approved geometry, yield and operations into production with the least rework.

Compare the proposed modules, not brand names alone
The current pages were checked October 30, 2026. Lantek also presents iQuoting as a simpler subscription workflow connected to 2D geometry and Lantek Expert. That is not automatically the same configuration as Integra Quotes. SigmaQUOTE's current page names the SigmaFAB bundle for sharing production and business data. Ask suppliers to write the exact products and interfaces into their proposal.

Use a remnant policy with an explicit control total
Assume a fictional full sheet costs $200. A job consumes material valued at $150 and leaves a reusable remnant valued at $50 under your shop policy. Charging the job $150 is consistent if the remnant remains a real inventory asset. Charging $200 is also a commercial choice if your policy charges the full sheet, but then a later job should not recover the same $50 twice as though it were newly purchased material.
Ask each supplier to demonstrate both policies with the same shapes, grain restrictions and sheet dimensions. Then mix another part into the nest. Record material allocated to each quote, unused area, stock balances and the production nest. These numbers are worksheet assumptions, not test results from Lantek or SigmaQUOTE. A screenshot of tightly packed shapes cannot prove how the accounting allocation works.
Check time and forming after the nest
For the same RFQ, specify cut length, pierces, material thickness and machine technology. Add two brake setups and a powder-coating minimum. A nest can improve material use while leaving forming or finish underestimated. Require setup to stay per lot, handling to reflect part size and supplier minimums to change correctly across quantities.
Finally, accept the quote and inspect the order or production record. Check material, revision, operations, delivery and commercial price. If an estimator must recreate the nest or router manually after award, count that work. Existing machine and production data may make either vendor the more practical choice, even when another product offers a lower entry subscription.
When a lighter quote tool fits
A mixed shop that quotes mostly from drawings may prioritize print reading and reviewed prices over connected nesting. QuotedPart can serve that narrower workflow, with an independent nest used where yield matters. It does not replace the linked cutting/production capabilities above. Decide whether you need a quote layer or an integrated sheet-metal production environment before comparing budgets.
Sources and limits
Claims are dated where they can change. Product calculations are examples from the stated inputs, not a promise about a customer's quote. Competitor wording is attributed to the source shown.
