Is QuotedPart a good alternative to Spanflug MAKE?

Your part priced in about 90 seconds, no account.

QuotedPart is a reasonable Spanflug MAKE alternative for a US shop that wants model-and-drawing quoting with a $199 monthly shop price. Spanflug deserves particular attention when an automatic machining proposal, stock selection and work preparation are the buying priorities. Its permanent free option covers five parts a month; paid plans are in euros and license-based. Test the proposed manufacturing method before deciding that either product's calculated price is right for your machines.

Use the free calculations to examine a difficult route

Choose a fictional 6061 valve manifold, 6 × 3 × 2 inches, with a deep axial bore and cross-drilled ports on three faces. Bring its model, print, actual stock purchase and prior routing. The useful question is whether the estimate accounts for the setups, reach and inspection that make this part expensive. A visually similar box can be a much easier job.

Spanflug's machining page describes proposals covering stock, machine tools, programming, setup, manufacturing and post-treatments, with an operational plan and editable rates. That is a documented strength for an estimator who wants a proposed method to review. QuotedPart also exposes editable setup and run allowances, but neither proposal establishes that your chosen workholding and tool reach will work. Have the programmer explain any disputed operation.

Read the euro license arithmetic carefully

The pricing page checked October 30, 2026 lists Pro monthly at €399 for one license and €79.80 for another. Annual billing lists €3,990 for the first license and €798 for another. Its €333 headline is rounded: the exact one-license annual equivalent is €332.50 a month. Use the annual invoice amount for a budget.

The table keeps euros and dollars separate. It is not an exchange-rate comparison, and it excludes taxes, currency conversion costs and onboarding labor. QuotedPart's unlimited-user price can matter when the owner, estimator and salesperson all need access. Spanflug's free allowance can be more useful when you only need to evaluate a few parts without beginning a timed subscription trial.

Check American stock and handoff details yourself

Spanflug documents turning, milling and grinding, near-net stock options and adjustable cutting values. If those are essential to your mix, ask it to demonstrate the relevant operations on your part. For a US shop, also reconcile inch dimensions, local material specifications, supplier availability and your actual freight burden. A stock choice is only economical if you can buy it on the required schedule.

The machining page describes ERP export, but it does not establish a named connection to your installation. Request a sample transfer and an exact format list. QuotedPart works with JobBOSS² and offers exports for other handoffs; assess each path using the routing and customer identifiers your office needs. A clean PDF alone does not resolve duplicate entry into the production system.

Separate a quoting license from a source of work

This comparison concerns Spanflug MAKE, the estimating product. Evaluate supplier-network work under the terms of that separate relationship. Buying an estimating subscription should stand on the value of the estimating workflow, rather than an assumed stream of orders.

Do not rank the products by whether they recreate your old selling price to the penny. Break any difference into stock, setup, cycle, outside work and markup. If the route is credible and corrections remain visible, you have a basis for repeatable estimates. If it needs a new explanation for every manifold, the apparent automation has not yet captured the shop's method.

Sources and limits

Claims are dated where they can change. Product calculations are examples from the stated inputs, not a promise about a customer's quote. Competitor wording is attributed to the source shown.
