Accuracy Quoting alternative: laser-shop modules or mixed quoting?

Accuracy Quoting may be the stronger fit for a small laser or fabrication shop that wants low-cost DXF quoting, nesting and optional work orders in one system. Its current Starter price is $20/month with one seat. QuotedPart is a relevant alternative when PDF-led machining or mixed-process estimates and a shared reviewed quote workflow matter more. Do not describe Accuracy Quoting as merely a DXF calculator: its current pages also describe STEP viewing, unfolding and production modules.

Separate the included viewer from paid production features
The home and pricing pages were checked October 30, 2026. Starter includes nesting and a 3D STEP viewer. STEP to Flat Pattern is a separately listed module and is included in the Production bundle; viewing a model and unfolding it are different capabilities. Accuracy Quoting labels QuickBooks Online invoicing coming soon, so it is not counted as an available integration here.
| Plan or module | Published amount | Scope to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $20/month | One seat; DXF quoting, nesting, STEP viewer |
| Production | $51.30/month | Work orders, queue, unfolding, extra quoting seat and two view seats |
| Individual modules | $7/month each before discounts | Work Orders, Production Queue, STEP unfolding or tube cutting |
| Extra quoting user | $12/month before discounts | One extra quoting seat; bundle rules can change total |
| Trial | Five days or ten quotes, whichever first | No card; plan a compact test |
Compare the seats your shop really needs
For a base-plus-seat arithmetic example, Starter's $20 plus two additional $12 quoting seats sums to $44/month before any automatic bundle discount. The final bill may be lower under the vendor's published discount rules, so confirm the configured amount at checkout. Do not apply the two seats included in a different bundle on top of this example.
QuotedPart's $199/month whole-shop plan is higher than those published entry examples. A fair comparison needs to ask what extra work the shop actually requires: drawing-led routing, mixed machining and fabrication, or customer quote acceptance. Accuracy Quoting's nesting and optional production queue are capabilities QuotedPart does not match. Low price alone does not prove full fit, and broader intake alone does not erase that price advantage.
A five-part trial that fits the stated limit
Use two clean DXFs, a DXF with construction lines, a folded STEP bracket and a simple weldment. For each, inspect measured cut length, pierces, sheet allocation, added operations and the customer output. With a five-day-or-ten-quote trial, reserve room to rerun a revision and quantity change rather than spending every quote on nearly identical flat rectangles.
Use a fictional 20-piece bracket order with $3 material per part, $40 laser setup per lot, one minute cutting per part at $120/hour and two minutes bending per part at $75/hour. Cost is $60 + $40 + $40 + $50 = $190; at 25% markup it is $237.50 total or $11.875 each before rounding. Exclude finish, freight and tax. This control total is not a result measured in either product.
Buy the current workflow
Test the actual modules you would purchase and check what reaches a work order after quote acceptance. Keep any coming-soon item outside the decision until the vendor confirms availability. If PDF-only RFQs and model-based machining dominate your work, test QuotedPart on those parts; if nesting and a fabrication floor queue dominate, Accuracy Quoting's documented scope deserves particular attention.
