Customiser alternative: document packages, credits and shop quotes
Price one of your own parts: Drop a STEP model or PDF drawing — about 90 seconds, no account.

QuotedPart is a Customiser alternative for a small shop wanting a monthly quote workflow with PDF and model inputs. Customiser is worth evaluating for mixed document packages, source-traceable part lists and estimates built from shop standards. Its Standard plan is usage-based at $0.10 per processing credit; DXF and STEP processing are on Enterprise. The decision is not just flat fee versus usage: test how completely each workflow resolves the particular RFQ documents your shop receives.

Compare document scope before pricing
Customiser's home and pricing pages were checked October 30, 2026. They describe 2D drawing PDFs, specifications, BOMs and supporting documents processed into reviewed estimates. The FAQ places DXF and STEP on Enterprise and says IGES/native SOLIDWORKS are not read. Standard has no minimum spend or per-seat license, while Enterprise pricing is custom. Do not equate a credit with a page, part or complete quote: the pricing FAQ says usage varies with documents.
| Question | Customiser | QuotedPart |
|---|---|---|
| Evidence package | Drawings, specifications, BOMs and supporting documents | PDF/model/DXF input plus RFQ email intake |
| CAD scope | DXF/STEP processing on Enterprise | STEP/IGES measurement and DXF flat patterns |
| Cost basis | Shop standards, rate cards and material costs | Editable operation formulas and shop rates |
| Billing | Standard $0.10/credit; Enterprise by proposal | Published monthly per-shop plan |
| ERP handoff example | Scoped export/API route for Global Shop Solutions | JobBOSS²/classic handoffs; CSV/Excel for other systems |
Build a defensible credit comparison
Use an explicitly hypothetical document package consuming 80 credits. At the published Standard unit price, processing would be $8 before any discounted packs or other agreed terms. Ten such packages would use $80, and 30 would use $240. The unknown is whether your packages consume 80 credits; this page does not claim that they do. Record actual usage across a representative sample before forecasting spend.
A $199 monthly fee divided by $0.10 is 1,990 credits. That arithmetic is a billing threshold only, not feature equivalence, a total-cost comparison or a prediction of quote volume. In particular, it says nothing about Enterprise CAD pricing. Include review effort, document complexity and setup of costing rules in the comparison.
Test disagreement inside an RFQ package
Use a synthetic welded enclosure RFQ where the BOM calls for two brackets and the drawing shows four. Include a separate powder-coat specification and a revised door drawing. Ask the system to identify the conflict, preserve source references and require a person to choose the correct quantity. Then inspect every place that quantity affects material, fabrication, finish and assembly labor.
Customiser's stated traceability and document-package workflow are stronger reasons to evaluate it than a generic AI label. QuotedPart should be judged on the drawing/model quote workflow it provides today. Neither system should be selected solely because the first generated total looks plausible; resolve the conflict and follow its effect through the final customer document.
Prove the handoff you intend to use
Customiser's Global Shop Solutions page describes CSV, Excel, PDF and REST API through scoped work, rather than a pre-built connector. Ask for the exact objects, mapping and error handling your project includes. Likewise, QuotedPart's generic export is not an automatic connector to every ERP. Choose the workflow that produces an approved, explainable estimate and reaches your destination with an acceptable amount of repeated work.
Sources and limits
Claims are dated where they can change. Product calculations are examples from the stated inputs, not a promise about a customer's quote. Competitor wording is attributed to the source shown.
